I would go to a gyn and get a blood test for pregnancy. Are you on any other new medication? At one point I was taking an antibiotic and I had breakthrough bleeding on my pill.
Usually stress doesn't make you spot, it mostly makes you late. Either way it sounds like a doctor's visit is needed...
