So I figured I'd give the depo shot another try after bleeding for three months straight the first time I received the injection. I attributed the previous bleeding to being 4 weeks post partum and having whacked out hormones. I figured I'd give it another shot since every type of bc I've een on has caused me to bleed every day. It looks like history is going to repeat itself because I am going on two weeks of bleeding (got the shot te first day of period) and I really want it to stop. I was wondering if there were any herbal or non-prescription things I could try. I understand taking motrin may be able to stop it but I am unsure of the dose and timing. I know the best route to go would be estrogen, however I have a crappy medicaid doctor who will not help me out and it just a bitch to me in general. So do any of you have any adive/treatments that have worked for you?

Ibuprofin can lessen the actual amount of blood, but I don't know the amount either. My doctor told me to take two 22mg tabs every 4 or 5 hours about 5 days before my period was to arrive when I was having "heavy" bleeding on Seasonale (I put heavy in "" because back then I had no idea what heavy really was! ha. I have a paragard now)

The second thing I wanted to ask was why not try an IUD? I am unsure if the Minrena will help you out since you've reacted that way to all hormones that you tried, but if you had regular not severly horrible periods before you were on HBC the Paragard may help you out. I say this thinking that you are only on HBC to prevent pregnancy and not PCOS or anything like that. Sorry if none of that helps.
