so..  under one of my boobs i have this nasty looking .. thing.  i'd say it's a rash but i don't know if that's right.  it's kindof large (it's under my boob, haha, i can't really see under it, i have large boobs), pretty red, and it's secreting goop that is clear, and pretty much smell-free.  i have absolutely no idea what it is.  i'm uninsured right now so i don't want to have to go to the doctor for this..  does anyone have any ideaas to what it could be?  i'm kindof scared.

It sounds like a form of eczema just from the initial description -- some types of eczema can get pretty juicy.

I'd be hesitant to suggest a course of action without a medical diagnosis, but you could consider getting an OTC hydrocortisone cream -- they sell them at any drug store, and it can relieve symptoms and reduce the rash.

It's possible to get yeast infections under your breasts, but they often smell - like yeast, obviously. What have you tried for it? A cornstarch based body powder might help clear it up, or an anti-fungal if it's a yeast infection. Does it itch?

do you have large breasts? sounds like a decubitis ulcer or bedsore. I am a nursing student and have seen a number of these. I can see how something like this can develop from a bra rubbing or just the pressure of the breasts. Its just skin breakdown because of pressure/irritation. there are different stages of bedsores and I am sure you can google it and see a picture to see if it looks like what you have. i can't really give any advice on how to get rid of it though. just let it breathe and maybe some neosporin?

I totally used to get these, and so does my Gran. We both are very well-endowed. (And heavy... now and then they'll start just under my tummy flap too.)

My advice...

First off... NO POWDER. Gran does this, and it drives me crazy, cause she doesn't understand why it keeps getting worse. Well... she's (your) putting groundup rocks in your bra, on sensative skin. It's gonna keep grinding away.

But the real trick of it--for me--is making sure under your boobs are COMPLETELY dry after a shower/bath. I shower, then lay down in front of a fan for about 5-10 minutes, moving this way and that every now and then to make sure the air hits everywhere.

If you're going to put on medication---and I've found that Monostat external cream does work for Gran--do the same thing... put it on, then DRY DRY DRY.

Since I've been hypervigilant about drying off, I haven't really had an issue with these since then. ... Oh, I also make sure I'm totally dry before I get dressed--in case I got damp while sleeping. And when it's going to be really hot humid and nasty out? Deoderant under the boobs--but just a little. (Well, antiperperant, I suppose it actucally is.)

Good luck!!

i get this from bras they either don't fit well or for whatever reason just weren't put on right. the bra rubs under my boob and leaves this. hurts, too. :(

At the nursing home I work at we usually get some Lotrimin to put under the breasts/between skin folds when stuff like that starts to happen. You don't want to put anything like baby powder there because it'll cause more irritation and we don't usually use anitbiotic ointment or A&D because the area stays moist instead of drying up.

I recommend getting an OTC hydrocortizone cream.
I've never had anything like that under my boob, but I have sensitive skin - and that sounds like what happens when I get an allergic reaction to something. The cream definitely helps it feel better and go away.

I am guessing it is a yeast infection. You can go to your doc to make sure as there are several things that it could be, but I am guessing yeast. Keeping it dry is a great tip like sage autum suggested all of her tips were good. You can go for some over the counter meds, but there are some prescription meds (such as diflucan or antibiotics if it is infected , and it can be a bacterial infection too! and you can have more than one thing going on at a time, such as fungus and a bacterial infection) *I had that once and it was horrible! still have the scar!) anyway.. I guess my advice is go to the dr to be sure, then you know for )hopefully not) future probs and can treat effectively :) good luck
