So some of you may remember me asking all the questions regarding post D+C.
I finally stopped bleeding this past saturday completely, that was 18 days post op.
I stopped taking my pill as I had read someone had a similar experience, and their pill was affecting the bleeding, and I thought I'm at my wits end I'll give anything a go.
Stopped taking the pill on 23rd of Feb (pretty sure I didn't take one on that day), started again last night, the 3rd of march.
Here's the thing, I've been getting for the last few days very loose stools I think diarrhea, but it seems to be every second day. And pain in my right breast, when I breath sometimes, like a sharp stabbing pain. Yesterday I got the weird pain in my right breast, and it went up to my shoulder and it was the worst it had been feels like some one was stabbing my shoulder :(.
So thats my question, is it possible that by going off then back on the pill its giving me diarrhea? or could it be something else? I'm on Logynon ED and have been for nearly 3 years if that matters.
Also.
I had unprotected sex on Sunday the 1st and Monday the 2nd, but I'm not too stressed about it, I'd been stacking my pill, so when I decided to stop I'd taking more then 21 active pills, and I forgot on Monday to take the pill but took it Tuesday, so I'm going to assume likely hood of pregnancy is pretty slim. And considering I'd just stopped bleeding, I'm not too sure if I would of ovulated.
I appologise for the confusingness of this post, I just woke up and am stressed. :)

Date: 2009-03-04 12:34 am (UTC)if you take birth control correctly you do not ovulate, so that wouldn't be a concern with regard to the intercourse leading to pregnancy. perhaps the HBC vulvapedia would be of interest to you, it's linked from the VP sidebar.
as far as the diarrhea, perhaps you have a stomach bug that's going around currently? it's quite common unfortunately.
with regard to the breast pain, certainly the hormones could be affecting things. you can always have it assessed by your medical provider if you're concerned or it persists.

Date: 2009-03-04 01:11 am (UTC)I stopped because of extended bleeding from the D+C. And honestly I have absolutely no fear about pregnancy, infact I'd be damn excited if I was! haha. I think I had about 9 days off pills, but I had been stacking, and had a D+C so I had been bleeding for 18 days, technically, my pill could of been compromised before I went off of it, due to the anesthetic that I was given.
I do know that birth control taken properly means you do not ovulate, but the idiotic doctor I went to while I was bleeding (I saw her on day 12 of bleeding)told me that my body was effected from the anesthetic and that was why I was bleeding because it reset my body. So I know that there is a possibility that my pill taking was affected, and the whole time after the procedure, the first 2 weeks, I was a bit iffy with my pill due to being passed out continuely.
As far as I know there isn't any bug going around at the moment here (Tamworth NSW Australia) my parents work for the hospital, my dad usually tells me when there is a bug going around, my boyfriend and housemate haven't got it, and as far as I know no one at work does either.
I'm not too concerned about the breast pain/breathing pain, its more I'm curious if it could be a side effect from going off then back on the pill.

Date: 2009-03-04 01:29 am (UTC)I'm on a triphasial (sorry spelling?!) and I'm not really worried nore care about the whole unprotected sex cause well I don't care if I get pregnant. I had to stop taking the pill in order to get the bleeding from a D+C to stop.
This is taken from the Vulvapedia
"you remain protected from pregnancy as long as you have correctly taken at least 21 active pills/days of hormones and no more than 7 placebos/days without hormones, and you haven't taken any antibiotics or other prescribed medications which can interfere with birth control. "

So in all technicality, if I hadn't been effected from the anesthetic then I was still protected from pregnancy in the days I didn't take the pill because I had taken more then 21 active pills.
