So I know there are about 5 million yeast infection posts here a day
and a lot of them having to do with antibiotics
well here's my deal
I have a pretty constant low grade yeastie
I am for an unknown amount of time taking 100 mg of minocycline twice a day for a very severe rare case of rosacea (specifically rosacea fulminans http://rosacea.derm.net.au/rosacea-stages/rosacea-variations/rosacea-fulminans.html) which if you're clickphobic is a rare debilitating disfiguring form of rosacea
so the antibiotics are pretty necessary and fairly long term
however this means my vag is not happy
i've been rinsing with a acv water mix which helps some but I need more relief
tea tree oil or the acv has always helped me in the past but it's just not quite cutting it this time
also because I take the antibiotics twice a day and I have a phenomenally busy schedule I tried taking probiotics but it's just proved impossible
I eat yogurt however and I'm super short on cash at the moment but if it's something that will work I will be happy to part with money
but it's just so hard when I'm taking the antibiotics and I can't really take probiotics (basically I take the antis morning and night and I'm not home in the afternoons and I don't have a place to keep the pros refrigerated during the days because I'm on the move too much)
sorry if this is scattered but my vag just needs help!

If you don't mind the taste of garlic, it's cheap and was very effective the time I tried it (not positive if I got a yeast infection or not, but it was right after treating BV with antibiotics, and I was feeling pretty itchy). Though, as far as long term use, I don't know if anyone but you would be able to smell the garlic....

There is a herbal pill called Dida that works a treat for me for prevention...exensive but effective.

Have you tried putting yogurt on your vulva and inside your vagina or putting the probiotic capsules in your vagina? That helps me even though it's a little awkward. It's cheaper and less harsh than the chemist creams.

yeah, i'd definitely use boric acid capsules, at the very least preventatively. they work wonders :-)
