light bloody discharge

Since Sunday for only a couple hours during each day, there's been a very light bloody discharge. I'm not on my period, but even if this was my period, I'd be worried, as I usually have much heavier of a flow than this. I haven't had sex lately, and I'm pretty sure it's not a UTI because the blood is coming from my vagina and not my urethra. Any ideas what this could be? Think I should just wait for it to stop, or should I see someone? Thanks in advance!

Are you on birth control? If so, it might just be some harmless spotting, especially if you've missed a pill recently.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm not on any hormonal birth control at all. :)

When are you due for your next period? Could you be ovulating?

I'm supposed to get my period between Christmas and New Years, and I was ovulating around December 10th.

While I would not panic -- even not being on HBC, bodies can sometimes get confused as to when they're supposed to be bleeding -- I would probably consider making an appointment, or calling the gyno/doctor and asking them to write down that you were having this condition, so you can talk about it/check on things at your next appointment.
