Hello! -waves-

I've been dealing with PTSD since I was five; I started therapy at age nine, and at nineteen I've made tremendous progress. Anyways, one of the problems I've had is that I cannot orgasm when I masturbate. I've been practicing meditation for years, I clear my mind, jack off (I use a Hitachi magic wand,) and get right to the edge, but can't get over it. I have no problem achieving orgasm with partners.

Any tips? I'm going crazy here.

Wow. I don't know what to say. I was discussing this with my girlfriend only last night!

I have this problem too. I don't honestly know what to suggest. Only in this relationship (which is fairly new) have I been able to orgasm with a partner. This still leaves the issue though of not being able to on my own. With her, I'll have multiple orgasms which will be amazing and last for ages, but on my own it's the opposite. I suspect I've been dealing with some form of PTSD too, but it's one of those situations that, despite having been in therapy from a very young age, I don't talk about.

I'll be following this closely to see if anyone has any suggestions. :)

If you have a few dollars to spend, the book I <3 Female Orgasm (http://www.sexualityeducation.com/coolstuff/orgasm-book.php) has some pretty user friendly instructions for bringing yourself to orgasm. It's not specifically aimed at people dealing with PTSD, but a lot of the different approaches -- physical and mental -- might be worth trying out.
