So, I've been off the pill for 7 months now, and i've been trying to get pregnant. I'm a week late and i've never been this late since i've been off the pill and I haven't received my period. I felt like I might be getting cramps but it wasn't amounting to anything. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it said negative, from my webmd ovulation calendar, if i were pregnant, it'd only be about 3 weeks in. Today, I'm having this pain in like my pelvic area that I don't remember having before....I've been tired, no more than usual though, my feet were swollen the other day, but no nauseousness, no tender breasts....Could i be pregnant even still?

It's a possibility.

I would wait a few days or so and take a test again. When did you take the test? It's always best to take a pregnancy test with your first morning urine.

If the next test comes up negative and your period is still late, it might be a good idea to call your doctor and get a blood test.

Good luck!

Is it possible you ovulated later than you thought and you're feeling the implantation? That would explain both the lack of period and the negative test (you wouldn't be getting a positive yet).

if you still haven't had a period in a week, take another test. if you're really anxious to know, go to the doctor's, and they can either give you a pee test or a blood test.

I got symptoms about a week before my period is due, most notably extremely tender breasts/nipples. Some women never show symptoms at all (lucky dogs!)

Unless you're tracking your cycle by taking your temperature and/or checking your cervical mucous daily, the calendar method is probably not working. . . so your ovulation date may be way off due to an inaccurate method. You should try taking a test again in a week or going to a doctor for a blood test if you want to know sooner. Good luck!
