I've read a lot about using hormonal birth control to skip a period, but I still have a question.
I'm interested in moving my period by 2 weeks so I can spend my whole Christmas break with my boyfriend. I take Femcon FE which is a monophasic pill. Instead of just skipping the placebo week and taking the entire next pack, can I take only 2 weeks of the next pack? This would mean I would take 5 weeks of active pills before taking a week of inactive pills, and then continuing to take it normally. Would this be more confusing to my body than 6 weeks of active pills? It seems to me like it shouldn't matter, but am I wrong?
I know about using back up contraceptives and the risk of spotting. Thanks to everyone for your help.
