Cervical Tear

 I went to get my mirena today but didn't happen, the doctor didn't insert it due to a tear on the front of my cervix.  She said it was nothing to worry about but was afraid of going any further without hurting me or making it open/worse.

Is it anything to see my GP about, I'm scared.

Probably not. If your gyno said it wasn't anything to worry about I wouldn't worry. Your body will heal itself up just fine, I'd imagine, but it's probably best not to insert anything, or have sex at this time so it doesn't become infected, or prevents healing.

I'm assuming if it was anything serious they would've treated you for it.

It might just be one of those things that happens.

Maybe give the doctor you saw today a call and ask, just to clarify, if there is anything you should do or if it'll just heal on its own.

did she tear your cervix with the tenaculum at the start of the insertion procedure?
