I've had my implant since Jan. 2008, and all the unpredictable bleeding that comes along with it. After light, continuous spotting for many of the first months, the time between my periods began to grow longer. Now I have one every 2-3 months or so. I don't see any reason (at this point) not to keep it for another year and a half.
