I went off the pill two months ago. My first period off the pill came right on schedule (more regularly than I ever was before I went on the pill in the first place) and was roughly the same heaviness and length. It’s now roughly the right time for me to get my period again.
Yesterday, I started spotting lightly, and my vagina feels a little sore. It really doesn’t feel like my period—what could it be?

Date: 2008-04-17 07:05 pm (UTC)If the former, then this is your first real period off the pill, and it may be a bit wonked as your body realizes, "Um, okay, I stopped bleeding... and the lovely hypnohormones didn't come back... so now I'm supposed to do... something..."
If the latter, that you had a withdrawal bleed, and then approximately a month after, had a period, and this would be the one after that... I'd still have to suspect that there's some wonkiness as your body tries to remember what it's supposed to do.
...you've heard my hobby-horse go through its paces of "my irregular periods = my undiagnosed hypothyroidism," yes? O:>
