Thanks for sharing this video! I went to the doctor yesterday, and weighed in at 199lbs, the heaviest I've ever been despite eating healthily and getting more exercise. I like the way I look, so why should a stupid number on a scale bother me?

this was awesome! i hate that people automatically think that if you are fat that means you aren't active or healthy. you can be fat and have a healthy lifestyle, genetics play a big role in it.

My favorite comments are the ones that are horribly vicious but the person saying them claims to have a genuine concern for your health. No... you just wanted to call someone a fat ass and figured that feigning concern would make you look like less of an asshole.

for real. have you watched the other videos that were linked off to the side with meme roth? omg they made me FURIOUS. she claims that she is worried about obesity and that she wants to have the war on obesity so that people will be healthy blah blah blah. but all that really comes out is her disgust for 'fat people'

Thank you. I am a happy size 12. When I was a "healthy" weight of 133, I had a hematocrit of 9, was severely weakened by anemia, and cholesterol of 300 (yes after 3 months of a strick vegan diet). I am now 150, had an accidental non-fasting test within 48 hours of eating a hamburger and my number plummeted over 60 points. Funny thing is, cholesterol excepted, when I was unhealthy, life insurance would have been cheaper.

Honestly, I used to be the type of person who would look at a fat person and think it was all their fault. I made a friend last semester who is obese, but she eats healthy and is constantly going to the gym. She made me change my outlook on the situation. That video totally drove things home for me. If you're eating right and exercising, then be happy with who you are! I'm sorry for my way of thinking before.
