I've also started to spot in the last year (22nd-23rd) during ovulation. I read in a generally trusted gyn book that it may be caused by stress, and the first 3 cycles so it was. But then it skipped 2 cycles only to return for ever longer days, caused by no abnormal stress! This month it's been 5 days, and I have not mere spotting, but big clots too. My gynecologist said it was because some wrong hormone was released telling my body it was time for bleeding when it wasn't and he prescribed me vit. A and E. I've been taking these for 2 cycles now but the spotting gains power and length! Any idea what's wrong?
