period on OTC-Lo

so before I started taking OTC-Lo, my period was already short and light (usually 3 or 4 days, very light), and since I've started taking it, my periods have been SO short and light that I'm thinking they don't even count as periods (so light that I can use a slender tampon for about 12 hours without filling it at all, and it only lasts for about 2 days). Is even a little spotting enough to let me know that I'm not pregnant? This is only my 3rd month or so on the pill, so I still take it late sometimes because I forget, so I've been a little paranoid recently about getting pregnant.(my boyfriend and i usually use condoms too, but not always. we've both been tested for STDs)
