Your peehole is pretty small and probably not very visible. From the position where you are laying on your back, with your clit at the top of your vulva and your vagina sort of at the bottom, your urethra is above your vagina, below your clit and inside your labia minora. There are some good diagrams online that can assist you with getting acquainted with the whole thing. There are features I didn't even know had names until recently, but I digress :P
Did you remove it right after insertion, or while you weren't on your period, as a practice run? It needs to get good and "wet"/lubricated with blood before it can come out more comfortably. If you do run into this more often I suggest a Divacup/Mooncup/Keeper, as those don't absorb all the moisture up there and go in and out very smoothly.
