i have 2 questions:

1. does one ovulate during the first month of pregnancy?

2. the first day of my period this month was june 5. so i'm in the middle of my cycle, and i just was prescribed birth control pills (tri-levlen 28). if i start the pills today, will my period come at the normal time, or will it come in 3 weeks when i'm taking the reminder pills? i'm sortof having a pregnancy scare, so i'd like my period to come as soon as possible, and want to wait to start the pills if it will come in 2 weeks, but also would like to start them as soon as possible.

If you're worried you might be pregnant, you should use a drugstore test. It should set your mind at ease.

If you start the pills today, your period will be in three weeks.

1.If you count pregnancy from the last menstrual period, then yes, you would ovulate that first month. It'd be the egg that gets conceived. If you count it from conception, then no, you won't ovulate again once that egg's implanted.

2. How long has it been since you had the sex that's worrying you, and when is your next period due? Depending on those dates, bringing on your period by birth control won't work. If the egg's already implanted, the birth control won't make your period come and flush it out. You may want to ask this over at the amipregnant community and fill out the survey. They can help you more than I can.

No. If you ovulated during pregnancy, it would be possible to already be pregnant and get pregnant again.
