i use acidophilous as suppositories, and it works well but here's the thing- i recently had a VERY bad reaction to a different type of acidophilous. i usually use the kind that are powder inside the cap, and decided to try out the gel caps/liquid ones, and nearly died because of the itching and burning.

if you're looking for cheap remedies, plain yogurt works very well, and if it's not too bad a douche with apple cider vinegar can work.
