You also might just try a different type of tampon. Different kinds(tampax, o.b.) are made to flare more at the base and can offer more protection. You should try buying a few sample packs, or ordering samples, of each. The diva cup is a good idea as well. They can be left in up to 8 hours(change it more during the day, but you're usually good to go during the day). You might try a heavier absorbancy. Always use the lightest absorpancy you can to reduce your risk of TSS, but if you are using 'regulars' and you have to change your tampon every two hours it's time to step up on the absorbancy.
