First time commenting in this community, I'm sorry if this might be a bit long, but I feel like I should explain some of the background for my advice.
The first couple of years I was having sex, it almost always hurt, and it felt like it was on the same spot on the left side, inside. I was having big problems relaxing my vagina muscles with my first two partners, and in the beginning of my third sexual relationship (which I am still in today). I went to see a gyno at the Youths Health Center, and she was really upset that I started crying when she was examining me, because I couldn't relax and I was scared and it hurt (my bf had to work and couldn't come with me).
I came back WITH my bf the next week and got the full examination. She said that I still had a bit of the hymen left on the left side, and that that probably was causing the pain. She removed it, and I haven't been hurting since. Of course it also helped that my bf was really understanding about the relaxing problems and helped me conquer them.
Well, this got very long...but I hope it may help you in some way. I guess in short what I tried to say was that it is possible to have a gyno examination to see what's up with your hymen, and she can probably help you remove it!!
