vaginapagina | Hmmm, period and YI? (Reply)

Well, I know how much we all love yeast infections [and yeast infection posts :( ] but I find myself in a YI experience that I haven't been in before. I have a YI & I am on my period. I am a faithful tampon user. So here is the question...how do I treat the YI while I am on my period? I really don't want 4 days of itchyness and/or for it to get to the point where I need to wage full out vagina-war (i.e. prescription) because it hasn't been treated. If I had to, I could use pads, but it just seems as though the blood flow would take the medicine with it. So if anyone has any tips....? Oh and the only treatments that have ever worked from me are the over-the-counter 7 day cream and tea tree oil. My vagina laughs at one day cream, three day cream, yogurt and garlic.
