[identity profile] sekai.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] vaginapagina

She never said I had BV or anything, but I'm assuming that's what she meant by a little too much bacteria. I did not have any symptoms except for a thick discharge, which I attributed to having an IUD inserted about 3 months ago. But since I know it's important to take care of my girl parts while I have an IUD, and since I trust my gynecologist, I'm taking the Metrogel she prescribed for me anyway.

The Metrogel seemed fine at first. It didn't burn, or do any of the 'bad' things the information leaflet said it might. I just left it in overnight.

Now, however, I'm passing little clots of semi-bloody tissue. At least, I think it's tissue. Maybe it's leftover Metrogel? It happens later in the day, not when I wake up and use the restroom (which is when a thicker, clear liquid I thought was the metrogel comes out). It's white, doesn't dissolve in the water at all, and waves around like paper (but looks thicker). All I know is, I've never really been this grossed out by things that come out of my vagina. Blood and other things I've come to expect. This just kind of seems wrong.

Has anyone else experienced these little things using Metrogel or another leave-in vaginal medicine? Should I be worried? I'd like to feel for my strings but I'm afraid to stick my fingers up there before the Metrogel treatment is done (tonight is the last night anyway).
