Heh, my mom won't say it, either. She uses "down there" for vagina and "woman-doctor" for gynecologist. She disapproves of me having pre-marital sex and being on the pill, but she's too embarrassed about talking about sex to really say anything to me. I just hope I haven't completely internalized this attitude---someday when I have kids, I want them to have a sex-positive upbringing. Luckily my fiance's parents were always open with him, so at least he won't be bringing any major sex issues to the parenting. I've got my mom's embarrassment and the weight of the Catholic church (cursed early Catholic upbringing) weighing me down.
