I am on birth control and I have been for 3 months now , I have taken each pill on time whenever I had to take them , My boyfriend and I have been having sex with a condom still because we dont want to risk anything , the condom has never broke I dont think. But I have been feeling bloated lately and a little tired , I was wondering could this be pregnancy signs or is it just the estrogen in the pills having an effect on my body?

I've been on various forms of hbc since 06 and never had an issue getting my withdrawal bleed. My husband and I had decided to try and get pregnant this spring, so I stopped taking hbc at the end of December while I was having period-heavy spotting during the entire 3rd week of hbc. We forgot about not being on bc in mid January, before we were ready to start trying, so I took plan B. I got a period(?) Feb 1st, which I suspect was brought on by the plan B. I have not had a period since.

I went into the doctors office for a physical and pelvic exam mid April. The NP who saw me did a urine test, negative, and said everything looked fine. I spotted during the pelvic exam, so she assumed I was starting my period. But that day was the only bit of spotting I got, so I'm pretty positive she just irritated my cervix. I went back in to see another random person, my normal doctor is on maternity leave ironically, and she said I didn't even need to bother coming in because she wouldn't do anything about it until it'd been 8 months without a period. She gave me a blood test for pregnancy just in case, but that was negative again.

I really wanted to have been able to have been trying for a couple months now, and I don't want to wait another 3 or 4 months for no reason I can see for them to help wake up my ovaries. It might sound silly, but I had really hoped to be able to at least try and avoid being 9 months pregnant in the middle of summer. I'm really feeling resentful that no one will help fix the mess that birth control caused, especially since I was never told it could do this sort of thing to my body!

Is there anything I can do to help jump start my body? I've been trying to take Vitex/chasteberry (fruit) capsules 400mg twice a day because I read it could help, for over a month, but I haven't noticed any changes in anything down there. Is there anything else I can try on my own? The internet is very varied in what to try and what actually works, so I'm lost as to what to do now. I did read that a doctor can give you clomiphene(?) to try and start your period from 3-6 months with none, which makes me even less happy with the doctor or NP or whatever telling me 8 months. Should I call my office back and try and see someone who will be willing to help me? And if so, what exactly should I say or ask them for/about? I have pretty severe anxiety, which is even worse than usual in doctor's offices, which is why I couldn't do anything but say okay at the last appointment. This whole not knowing what to do to fix myself and feeling helpless is really doing a number on my anxiety and just making me feel more miserable about the whole situation. It also doesn't help that literally every close friend is pregnant/just had a child/or already has kids. It makes my situation seem a hundred times worse to me than it probably is. I don't need to magically get pregnant next week, I'd just like to know that my body is capable of ovulating still :-/

Thanks for any help you can give!

Hello again, in my last past I was concerned about my boyfriend finishing inside of me a little while after I started my BCP. Well I had read through the literature that came with my pills and it said that 7 days was fine and then we would no longer need a back up form of protection. So we waited about 9 days and then we well, "did it." So what I am concerned with now is that I have been having a thick brown discharge and period like cramps and sometimes there is a little bit of pink, I guess this is blood? ( Also My breasts are slightly tender but its not bad or even noticible unless they're like, squeezed. My normal period would be arriving on the 28th of this month.) Of course I'm SO worried that I am pregnant. I have never missed any pills although I did once take one 3 hours late but it was like a week after we had sex and he finished inside of me. I don't know maybe I am just freaking out. I read other places online that it is probably just my body still "getting used to" the hormones the pills are putting into my body, but I have also received a lot of results about pregnancy when I look up "think brown discharge and cramps." I'm just getting really worried. Should I take a HPT? And if I did, will my birth control make the result come out incorrectly? I do plan on going to my doctor/gyno, but I can't any time in the next two weeks because my car is in the shop and honestly I'm too afraid to talk to my dad about the situation. What do you guys think is going on? Should I be really worried?

I was on birth control and stopped taking it about 2 weeks ago and got my period a couple days later. I then had unprotected sex 2 nights ago and again last night and just now took Plan B. How soon now can I start back on the pill? Is it safe to start right away? I really don't want to wait until my next period, I'd like to be protected ASAP.

So I posted a couple of weeks ago about how I've been spotting daily for the last couple of months. Now it's gotten to the point where every night around the same time I go to the bathroom and have a decent amount of bright red blood coming out on the toilet paper--almost like I cut myself or something. I don't really have much during the rest of the day and when I do put a pad on nothing ever comes out onto the pad. I emailed my obgyn today to see if she thinks I should come in, but I'm just getting frustrated and confused. Baby will be 6 months in a couple of weeks and I'm pumping but not breastfeeding, per se...My lochia/pp bleeding stopped around 6 weeks...Besides hbc (which I can't use) what are my options here? If I'm going to have a period I'd rather it just come and get over with instead of this daily thing for months...Any moms in here have a similar issue?
