Gyno visit in Japan

I've seen quite a few negative comments about gynecologists in Japan, but after avoiding going myself for almost three years... I finally got off my butt and went. And, surprisingly, it was much better than I could have hoped, outside of one problem. Maybe it'll be helpful for any exchange students or others living here who are worried about culture shock?

TLDR: Gynecologists in Japan aren't any worse than they are anywhere else, and tests are super cheap if you're used to American medical costs. (Also, really cool chairs.)

Breaking the hymen?

Yesterday was the first time that I tried attempting this
with my bf. I didn't wanted to have sex though, we were just getting each other off 
and I decided that I want to feel his thing halfway inside of me to get it over
with the hymen. It didn't break yet, were still taking time on it. But FUCK
it hurts so bad. It doesn't just feel like a big pinch, it also burns. He's also large down there :/.
We used lube and I was still hurting. Does anybody have any first time "breaking hymen"
stories that they want to share and how you coped with it the first time? How long
did u manage until u can bear the pain? 

Vaginismus or well not....but perhaps something simmilar?

IUD Strings UK

Hi there,

I'm posting to ask any people with IUDs, who are also accessing their healthcare on the NHS in the UK, if you've ever gone about getting the strings shortened/dealt with? I'm not sure if I go to the clinic where I got it or if I can see someone else or...whatever.

There are certain times in my cycle when my poor boyfriend gets prodded and stabbed except for a few very specific positions. It's definitely wires, not an expelling device I have performed extensive prodding/checks and it's definitely just wires.

He said he would just deal with it, and I took that to mean it wasn't a big deal, but today I happened to look at the head of his penis shortly after sex and there were marks. Had I known he was marked by it, I would have done something almost at once. I am not ok with having something akin to vagina dentata. However cool it may seem as a concept, I care deeply about my boyfriend and his penis, and the compromise for condomless sex should not be a sore willy : (

I feel very guilty and would like to remedy this asap.
