I had an abnormal pap test last month, and my doctor wants me to go in for a colposcopy and biopsy. Cue freak-out for an entire month.

Now the Big Day is tomorrow, and there's some questions lingering, just for peace of mind:

I'm kind of being a big baby about this, but I really want some first hand advice )

There's still a whole lot of I-don't-know attached to this all (the worst part), but my doctor is known for sitting down and talking to his patients before he lays a hand on them. I'm fully expecting him to talk to me longer than he'll be poking and prodding. Especially since, after joining this community, I will come well-armed with questions. (I'm not sure what my dysplasia level is, but I'm sure he'll tell me, even if I don't ask.)

Thanks!

I have a pretty high sex drive and I was super excited to at last find a partner who was happy with period sex. But after a few cycles I've noticed I lose most to all sensation during intercourse if I'm on my period (it never really occurred to me before that I rarely masturbate when bleeding). In general I just feel numbed to most feelings (there's been a few weird "oh, is it in?" moments which aren't normal and clit stimulation feels lessened too) and to an extent far more than I'd expect from the added lubrication. Sometimes this seems to persist a day or two after my flow.

So, does this happen to anyone else? Has anyone found a way to get around it?

I just started taking 2000 units of vitamin D daily per Doctor's Orders. But my period this month is the heaviest I think its ever been and I use a cup, so I noticed the texture of it was really stringy, more clumps than blood. My period was pretty pleasant before I started taking supplements and I'm feeling kind of stressed out about it right now. Could it be because of the vitamin d? Is it just a coincidence?

Also, I was taking iron supplements for a while because I'm vegan and doctors, family and friends were all telling me I needed to. Turns out my iron is just fine, but when I was taking the supplements my periods would be approximately 45 days apart compared to my usual 28-30. Why does this happen?

Also, does anybody have any experience with any other vitamins changing their period? This stuff

ALSO, I definitely have PMDD and wondered if chasteberry tea actually helps? Or St Johns wort? I'm hesitant to take hormonal birth control when my period is typically a fun guy to have around. It's kind of a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" thing for me. I would like to get rid of the depression without messing with my hormones if possible at all.

Thanks,
A Vagina Owner

I had the Mirena IUS inserted back in October. Everything has been running as would normally be expected - I had bad cramps and random bleeding for the first few months but was told that this was normal and it would settle down after a few months.

Anyway, everything has been running smoothly for the last couple of months. My period this month was 10 days late, I put it down to the stress of being at uni and work and stuff, then I got it. It lasted a week. Then I had two days of no period. Got it again for another five days. It went away, this time for three days, and I've GOT IT AGAIN!

Anyone know what the heck is happening with my body, and if it's the Mirena? My periods were always a bit off-whack when I wasn't on any HBC, but this is super annoying. I'm hastily checking memories and also IUD-divas too, but advice would be good before I have to make yet another appointment with the school nurse, who will no doubt tell me that it's normal!

Went to planned parenthood yesterday and was prescribed metrogel for bv, stupid chronic bv! And I just went to the bathroom and there was some weird dark brownish blood spots on the tissue. I usually spot, my guess is that the bleeding is from irritation.
Anyone have any tips on dealing with metrogel? Any side effects I should look for?
Thanks all!

Ok so as I posted a few days ago I'm fearful I'm pregnant because I;m ALWAYS regular and now 7-9 days late. Well I took an E.P.T. +/- brand last saturday (clearly negative). Now I took two tonight after work with my friend. They both weren't super dark like the last, but they were still visible negative BUT on both (one a bit darker than the other) where the positive vertical line would be there was a SUPER SUPER thin line and SUPER faint and OFF CENTERED. So I'm freaking, but then I checked my one from Saturday and now that one has it too! But didn't before. And as time goes, the two other ones that line is getting darker. Are they evaporation lines? I don't need a pregnancy right now!!

But can evaporation lines on a EPT blue dye test happen in that 2-3 minutes window when the test is valid? I felt like my eyes were playing tricks and I got scared they were faint positives, but I know what a faint positive looks like these lines are different.

Any experience? I've heard blue dyes can do such? Ughh AF I want you!

Thank you EVERYONE! :)
