Labia Pain

Second Pain post of the night...this one's for my roommate.

During the week before her withdrawal bleed (she's on ortho tricyclen low)the bottom of her inner labia closest to the perineum, get severely irritated to the point where she can't stand to wear underwear, or have anything touching them. When nothing is touching them, they sting. Her inner labia are longer than her outer labia, so they come into direct contact with her clothes. She generally wears pretty standard cotton panties and she's tried a few different detergents, including some without fragrance, and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be?

Hookah and HBC

I'm 19, on Yaz, blah blah blah.

I just got my boyfriend a hookah for his birthday. I've never used one, but I am curious about it and may partake in it once in a while. Maybe. I know that nicotine + HBC = no, but would it really be that bad if I just did it occasionally? Like, once every few weeks or so? I'm under 35, and don't have high blood pressure, and I'd probably not do it terribly often. It's hard to find anything about this on google, oddly. All I can find is "OMG NO, SMOKING'S BAD, MKAY?" :\ thoughts?

Treating a Potential Yeast Infection

Simple question: Will treating a yeast infection if there isn't one be damaging?

Background: I've never had a yeast infection. The next time I can see my doctor is in two months, and clinics don't treat woo-hoo problems unless they're UTIs. I THINK I may have one, but I am not sure.

Symptoms: some itching when contact occurs, pain during sex, and excess of vaginal discharge that is creamy, slightly yellowish, and smells like cat food. I don't even know. It's not cottage-cheesy, I don't have an overpowering disgusting smell, and it's not itchy all the time.

I'd like to try and treat it, but I'm not sure if I should. If I use an OTC treatment and there is no infection, will it do some kind of damage? I figure that it can't hurt to treat if I do have one, but if I don't... Is there a catch?

I'd like to get rid of it. I spent a week thinking it wasn't there, then it got a bit worse and called my doctor and she said she couldn't see me for ages.

baby or pill?

I got off ortho-cyclen exactly a month ago and I thought I heard my gyno say that I could experience pregnancy symptoms as a withdrawal side effect. I think she said this to me 2 years ago.

My husband firmly believes I am pregnant because I am suffering almost pregnancy symptom in the book. I can't find any reliable sources to back up my "pill doing this to me excuse" so there is a huge debate between us (no many how many negative ept results I show him. Haha)

Is it really the pill?

Ovary Pain

I have been experiencing lots of pain near my ovaries both sides. The interesting thing is, I had one of my ovaries removed but am still experiencing pain there. Has anyone ever experienced this? I feel like I'm having phantom limb/ovary pain. I experience a lot of lower back pain. I cannot get to a doctor because I am unemployed yet do not qualify to go to a "free clinic".
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Missed Pill/ Stacking

Hi all!

I have two questions:

One- I just realized I missed taking my pill (Junel Fe) yesterday. I usually take it at 11pm, it's now 6 pm the next day. I took yesterday's pill, and I will make sure I take today's on time. I did everything correct, yes? 

Two: I also just realized that I will be on my off week, the week I have Thanksgiving break during which I will be staying at the boyfriend's house. Obviously I would rather not be bleeding. I've never stacked my pills. Are there any side-effects I should know about? What can I expect? I know that sometimes I start breakthrough bleeding a day or two before my iron pills start, will continuing taking the active pills make that end faster?

ETA: So, I just took today's pill an hour late as well. Also, I noticed that I'm starting to spot. Should I just stop taking my pills, and have my 'off' week now, and then start the new pack/finish this one off when that's done? Ahhhhhhh! Please help!

Ovulation concerns?

I use an app on my phone to track my period/ovulation/etc. I know it's not completely reliable, but it's usually pretty close. It says I was supposed to ovulate yesterday, Tuesday the 9th. All weekend up until yesterday, I was rather crampy and just had weird twinges in my lower abdomen. It was almost like menstrual cramps, but not quite. Could this have been associated with ovulation? 

And I know about charting your temperature and stuff, but what happens to your temperature at what points in your cycle? Tonight I've had a low-grade fever (at least what I consider low-grade for my body) of 99.3F, though it's been bouncing around from 98.8F to 93.3 since about 5 pm. I believe I've read that your temperature can get a little higher at some point, but is it at ovulation? I feel fine otherwise so my first assumption was that it had something to do with my cycle, but I'm not sure.

...uh, how long do I leave this stuff on for? Is there like a set time limit, or do I leave it 'til it dries? Can I rinse it off after it starts drying, or is that bad?

I'm, uh, not enjoying the drying-yogurt feeling, but if it's best to leave it on I'll certainly do that. ^^;
