How high does your blood pressure have to be before they deny you a prescription? I've been under a LOT of stress lately because of finals, moving nine hundred miles in about five days, getting packed, and getting all of my last things in order, transcripts, making sure I have my social security card, blah blah blah. I've been waiting four months to see the gynecologist, and today when I had a headache, I went to take my blood pressure and it was 139 over 91. I'm freaking out because I'm moving in with my boyfriend, and I was really planning on getting my birth control here in Tennessee, because when I move to Illinois, it's going to be about six months before I'll be insured again.

I do have a family history of high blood pressure, but mine is really only a problem during situations like these.

I'm 20 years old. I don't smoke. I'm in generally good health, but stress does affect me a lot more than it would other people. =/

so I've been doing some reading on chlamydia, and something that keeps coming up is how most people don't even know that they have it, and so I was wondering why that was. I'm assuming it would show up on a standard STI screening, but does it not manifest itself for a while? I'm just wondering because I know it can cause PID and so obviously I wouldn't want to leave it dormant out of ignorance; so how long it would take to show up on an STI test? and I guess do people just not know because they don't get tested? or is there no way to know unless it gets serious?

I know this community is supposed to be about vaginas and such, but I figured it would be a good place to ask this.

For those of you who have big boobs but smaller...rib cages or whatever (like 32DD, 30DDD, etc.).

Any suggestions for good websites that sell bras?

I know about figleaves.com, but I would like to browse others.

Pros and Cons?

I was talking over getting this with my mother the other day, and her big concern was that my heavy flow and the definition of heavy flow are not the same.

I have a huge flow (TMI?) and have leaked every period despite wearing super plus tampons, or extra long pantyliners. So, you can understand how hesitant I am to jump head first into a new item. But I like the idea of being green as well, so really it's a toss up!

Help please!

Hi all, I am 22 and frightened... I have wanted a smear done for ages but have been refused on the NHS until I'm 25. So I paid £50 to have a private 1 at a Marie Scopes centre, just to be sure as everywhere else offers smears to younger women and I'm convinced this is just a cost-cutting measure in England.

Anyway, I got a phone call to say I need to come back in 3 months for a repeat smear as mine was very mildly abnormal. Now I am frightened and wondering what is likely to have caused it.

Could it be:

My age?

The fact that I'd had sex about 14 hours prior to the test?

The fact that I was coming down with thrush? (didn't realise this until a few days later)

Or is it most likely to mean I have a problem and will need treatment if I get another abnormal smear?

Am v.worried, I almost wish I never went in the first place! =(
