Hello!!

I just did my second brazilian wax about a week ago, and now I'm having the most itchy regrowth ever! I don't remember the first regrowth being that bad. FYI, my two brazilians have been done by different people each time. I have been exfoiliating too, so I am surprised the regrowth is so painful and poky.

I don't know if it's all ingrown hairs, but it is very poky and feels slightly painful when I rub the skin. Some areas are slightly red. It feels a bit like cactus (okay, I'm exagerrating...) Also, when I had sex with my partner today he said it felt like sandpaper :(

Did I just get a very bad waxer or is this normal?

i posted a while back regarding taking a medication called provigil that i was prescribed that interferes with hormonal birth control methods. neither my dr. nor my pharmacy caught or warned me about the interaction. my withdrawal bleed was late, but i did get it but it hasn't completely stopped for nearly 2 months now (i am on the 3month active pill cycle, seasonique.)

i read that the medication, provigil, can interact with hormonal birth control for up to 30 days, but im nearing 50+ days of some sort of bleed, with 60+ since i took my last dose. the bleeding varies from heavy spotting to a bleed like the week of placebo pills. i am really frustrated and im wondering if anyone else has experienced this interaction and what their reaction was like. any fellow VPers to shed some light on this? id like to know when ill have to stop buying pantiliners...haha.

I'm almost eighteen, and I've had regular periods (regularly every month) since I was thirteen.  However, in the past few months, I haven't had my period.

My last period was in the middle of March... I am still a virgin, although my boyfriend and I have "fooled around," although only to the point of him getting pre-ejaculate.  However, I'm worried that the pre-ejaculate could have been transferred from my hands to my vulva while I masturbated, or from his hands while fingering me.  I took a pregnancy test in May, and it was negative; however, this was a pretty cheap pregnancy test, and I also have fooled around since May.

Other reasons for my missed period could be stress (I was dealing with college decisions and breaking-up-after-college decisions), travel (I went away for a few days in April, from California to Pennsylvania.  This was a sleepaway camp with about 20 other girls, which I know can synchronize your periods, so I thought that's why I missed my initial period).  However, I am eating correctly, and am not losing weight (in fact, I'm gaining weight from my lack of exercise, recently.. I used to figure skate regularly, but now that I've graduated from high school, I'm taking the summer off).

I'm really worried, less that I am pregnant, but more that I have missed almost four periods since March!

I'm wondering what you all think- could I be pregnant (and should I take another pregnancy test or see a doctor?), and is my missing periods natural (keep in mind, I've been regular for a very long time).

Thanks :)

I'm not sure if anyone knows the answer to this question, but I thought this might be the best place to ask:

I know that you can skip your period by skipping your inactive pills and moving on to the next month.

However, when I tried doing this, I got my period-sort of. The day I normally get my period, I got brown, gooey spotting. This lasted on and off for nearly three weeks. It was really light, but still noticable and enough for me to need to wear a tampon most days.

Is it because the pill I'm on is a low hormone pill? I'm taking Lutera, which is the generic version of Allesse 28. It's a low-hormone birth control pill and I've been taking it for about 9 months.

Or, here's another addition. When you skip the inactive week and move onto the next month, are you skipping that period, or the next period? Did I just completely mess up?

I'm sorry if this is a lame, easy-to-figure-out-on-my-own question, I just don't know where else to ask.

Hi all,
I need advice re: thrush and bleeding from the clit.
I had thrush about 6 weeks ago, caused by too many antibiotics. It took a fortnight to clear up, the doctor checked it out also and found nothing wrong, so after 3 courses of the cream it disappeared.
This morning, I woke up with severe burning pains in my clitoris very time I go to pee. When I wipe, there is a tiny bit of blood after urination. This didn't happen last time I had thrush; and it isn't itchy either as it normally is with thrush. The only symptom is the extreme pain that comes with urination and the blood. Also I had protected sexual intercourse the other day, and last night, that may have caused it?
Is bleeding from the clitoris a normal symptom of thrush, or could it be something else like an STI? How likely is it to catch such an STI when condoms are used during penetration?
Thanks.
