Hey, I have a few questions about OTC-lo and what I suspect are mood changes caused by it, but I know if I post a question like this on here it will get deleted by mods, so where is a discussion forum I can go to to ask these questions? I'm kind of concerned and needing some answers/responses of some kind. Thanks.

So I made my first ever cloth pad purchase a few moments ago from Punky's Pads. I'm really excited after all the good things I have heard about using cloth.

Any tips or helpful advice are welcomed.

I was wondering if anyone here could advise me. I am in a 100% monogomous relationship and I am really sure that he has not been with anyone else. I also have been with no one else. We've been married for three years and in the beginning we had sex pretty frequently and I didn't experience any pain or discomfort. Over the last year or so (yes I know that's a long time to let it go), every time we try, it's unbeleviably painful. The second he starts to enter me, I feel this intense burning pain and we have to stop. We've tried using a vibrator to see if it's just some weird reaction to him specifically, but the vibrator causes the same pain. I've been to a nurse practitioner at P.P. and she found nothing. No B.V. no STDs, nothing abnormal at all. I don't have weird or smelly discharge and I have no problems unless we are trying to have sex. I have normal periods that are regular and not particularly painful. The nurse practitioner was at a loss as to what it could be. I know I should try to see a gynecologist, but I've had so many bad experiences with doctors and I'm just really reluctant and scared. Plus the exam with the nurse practitioner was unbelievably painful as well.

I have a few autoimmune issues, mainly fibromyalgia and Sjogren's syndrome. Sjogren's can cause dryness of membranes, including vaginal, but I don't think that is the problem since there is always plenty of moisture when we try to have sex.

I'm really desperate for answers so if anyone has any thoughts, I'd love to hear them. I don't know if I should be really concerned or if it's just this random, bothersome thing that has happened to me in a long line of bad things that have happened to me health-wise.

Please help. Thanks.

Hey ladies, first time I'm posting in here!
I just have a question. I'm starting to take a new BC pill, I think it's called Levlin, and it's mono-phasic, so I can skip periods and have 4 cycles a year, like Seasonale, just not with the expensive name (haha), and I was wondering, since I'm switching, do I need to use another form of BC for a month or so, to get used to this one, even though I have been taking another pill up to this point? I have looked all over the web to answer this question, and I see my gyno on Tuesday, but I'm curious NOW. The boyfriend and I are going to Vegas on Friday, and the last thing I want is to know that I could be pregnant after this trip haha. Thanks so much in advance! I love this community.

Background: I'm 17, monogamously sexually active with one STI-free partner, although we haven't had sex since May. I'm STI-free myself and evidence really doesn't support pregnancy as an answer. I'm an Ortho Evra user.

I usually experience a fairly normal amount of vaginal discharge on a daily basis, and it usually ranges from being clear and fluid-like to being a thicker, white mucus-like substance. Yesterday after I'd gone to the bathroom; I noticed that in the discharge that came out on the toilet paper that there was a little bit of blood- very, very little. Almost like just a few threads running through it, which was otherwise clear and thin.

I went to the bathroom again this morning, and noticed a much bigger 'bloodstain' among the mucus, which was a darkish brown and looked almost like old blood. It was still thin, but not clear.

I plan to schedule a gynecologist's appointment very soon to get this checked out; but I would be very appreciative if someone could hand me any sort of an idea of what this might be.

Edited-to-Add: I don't think it's breakthrough bleeding; other instances I've had were much, much heavier.

Hey lovely ladies--

So I've had a libido/sex drive/sex life problem for quite a long time now, but now that it pretty much ruined my best relationship ever, I'm starting to realize how major of a problem it is. After reading some of the fantastically helpful and understanding comments on [livejournal.com profile] mauh's entry about her sex-life problems, I thought maybe you guys could help. I've searched memories on many communities for libido aids/way to improve my sex drive, but never found anything useful.

ExpandCut for length--in short, I think I need therapy )

Thanks for any and all help. I am prone to being long-winded, I'm afraid. I appreciate any help, understanding, sympathy, etc. You fabulous superstars are the best :)

vulvodynia

I have a question I want to generate some discussion on. I was selling medical textbooks at the McGill University bookstore (thats in Montreal Canada), and a book titled "Secret Pain" came to my till. Its about Vulvodynia and the back professed to offer a "cure" and implied that this affliction of the female genitals is all in the patient's head. I asked the customer what class the book was for and she informed me that it was a senoir level elective class in PSYCOLOGY.

My question to everyone is this: vulvodynia is a painful, and extremely emotionally stressful condition that is not well studied in the medical community. As someone who has had this condition for years (yes, years) I have experianced the medical community giving me a pat on the head and telling me to go away and deal with it myself for a long time. It is disconcerting to hear that in University, the attitude towards vulvodynia is that it is a purely mental and, that information and awareness about it is not mandatory but is instead relegated to an elective course for those who might have a passing interest in female genitalia. Do you think this is an acceptable approach for the medical community to be taking?

Hey all-
Kind of a weird question, but... How is a doctor done pregnancy test (with urine) better than an at home one?
Thanks!
