can anyone give me a home remedy for BV? i've heard peroxide douches on this site before, but i don't remember the details. thanks in advance.

i'm confused because i feel like i have a mild yeast infection (and have for a couple of weeks), a treatment for yeast did nothing. i'm itchy, but have no discharge or odor. i can't afford to go to the obgyn right now, is there anything else this could most likely be besides bv?

is there anyway i could determine what it is on my own? could i try an at home bv remedy, and then just break down and go to the doc if it doesn't work? i tried yeast treatments, and i know what a yeast infection feels like, and i don't think this is yeast.

help! i feel itchy and raw.

hi, I'm a first time poster.

I've read about parsley tea and how it can induce your period. I found a post on another community through the archives here and I know how to make it, but I wanna know what has been everyone's personal experiences with it? Does it mess with your period and make it longer or worsen the cramps, or do any other unwanted stuff? Does it help your period and make it lighter and less painful? How soon does it work? Any other info you all might have on it I'd like to know too.

thanks :]

A friend of mine started using the Nuva Ring about 2 1/2 weeks ago and hasn't had any problems until about three days ago and has since been experiencing insane amounts of itchiness all around the inside and outside of her crotch. Has anyone experienced this before and if so what did you do and is it normal? Please respond a.s.a.p. THANKS!!

I am generally healthy, nonsmoking, 22, sexually active, and I just took out my first Nuva Ring (or the One Ring, as we like to call it). I switched after the warnings about Ortho Evra came out (I had been using the patch happily for about two years), and had been on Ortho 7-7-7 before that for about a year.

I was dealing fine with the increased discharge, but I noticed that in the last week on the Ring, my discharge had a STRONG vinegary smell (like apple cider vinegar, specifically), which is not normal for me. There is a teensy bit of itching, but that has been there most of the time since I started the Ring, and I attribute it to being silly and shaving when I was starting a HBC method that would increase my discharge. I have had both BV and yeast infections in the past, and this doesn't feel like either.

Other Ring users and folks with medical background, does this seem normal? Should I make an appointment?

I've always had a farely nice period. I would cramp for a while and then I'd start my period. It'd last between 3 and 4 days with bare-able cramps. Well, the last few months it's been...hell. It's goes like, "Oh...a cramp.*Rush of blood!* HOLY HELL! STOP IT!" And the cramps are worse too. When I get clots, there the size of....well, larger then a silver dollar and I'm hating it. I'm not sexually active, I'm not on birth control and I haven't changed my diet or anything else, it's just being evil. What could be causeing the sudden hell period?

I'm confused. I have been on Kariva bc pills for 2.5 years, and I've been having weird spotting.

And possibly a dumb question.

Does Claritin interfere with birth control, specifically ortho-tricyclen? (Or tri-sprintec)

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who responded to my post about having a late period even though I'm on the pill. It came yesterday with only two pills left to go, which I didn't know was possible. (I thought starting the green pills "triggered" the period automatically.)

Anyway, thank you to everyone! I am hugely relieved and this is the only time in history I've truly enjoyed my crippling menstrual cramps!

I heard that birth control makes you gain weight.
My doctor is about to put me on Yasmin.
Does this make you gain weight?
