I was just wondering.. i've never had sex (with a guy) as of yet, So after having a magnificent afternoon with my vibrator today i noticed there was blood trickling out of me (i've just finished my period a couple of days ago)
I have a feeling that it was just my hymen that was broken, but i'm also paranoid and afraid i might have damaged something up there. And if it is my hymen how much does it usually bleed? I thought there would only be a tiny bit of blood, but i've had to put on a pad which makes me kind of worried.

Anyway, just looking for some reassurance, thanks for listening to my freak out :)

[edit: oops! i didn't realize there was an identicle question posted before me, i'm sorry if my question sounds repetitive, but i'm still curious about the amount of bleeding involved ~manythanks!!!]

I need some advice from my lovely VagPag women and men. So, here goes.

I've been on the pill since I was 14 - I had 9 ovarian cysts, and that's what we used to rectify that situation. Now that I'm 22, the added birth control benefit has come into play. Previously, I've used condoms for safe sex, but now I'm with a partner where we have been tested. But, yes, I'm still on the pill for medical reasons beyond birth control.

I went to the doctor today, and was found to have high blood pressure. I'm going to get some blood work done tomorrow to see what the cause is. The doctor says that if he can find and treat the cause of the problem, that he will. But, high blood pressure does run in my family.

Which leads me to my question.

If I have to go on a high enough dosage of blood pressure medication, I will have to go off of the birth control pill. I'm looking online, and I'm starting to think that an IUD will be my only medical birth control choice. I'm reading about it now, and I must admit, it doesn't sound nearly as pleasant as the pill.

I'm not thinking about leaping into herbal medications, due to it possibly interfering with my blood pressure medication (if any).

Are there any options I'm missing? Any help will be hugely appreciated by myself, and my fiancee.

Found this in Cosmo, and though generally I abhor the magazine, I thuoght this might answer a few questions people have posted regarding cramping after/during sex.

Q: Sometimes I get a sharp pain in my lower belly during intercourse. Why?
A: Don't stress if these pelvic pangs occur midcycle, says Hilda Hutcherson, a gynecologist at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC. Before ovulation, your ovaries may be slightly tender. Having sex may jostle them, causing a sharp pain. Deep thrusting may also cause pain if you suffer from mittelschmerz (a condition characterized by mild cramps around ovulation). The solution: Try moving your legs closer together during sex to keep him from going in too far. If pain strikes at other times of the month, see your gyno. It could signal endometriosis or another serious condition.
