I had my IUD taken out about 2 months ago after a doctor insisted due to a possible case of PID. He also found a cyst which was about 4cm, and apparently is not dangerous.

I had initially gone to the doctor was because I'd been having non-stop cramps for months that were gradually getting worse. So after the IUD came out, things were going pretty well at first. Cramps were gone, and I was feeling good! I was waiting patiently for my first period.. and getting a bit concerned since it took so long to come.

This Tuesday I woke up and felt really crampy all day. I took about 600mg of Ibuprofen, and it didn't seem to do anything. Finally in the afternoon my period came POURING in with monsterous amounts of blood and gigantic clots. I went home, and went to bed. At around 4 in the morning I woke up because I was in SO MUCH pain. I went to the bathroom to discover I'd bled through everything (thank god my PJs were black!) I changed my business, and cried for hours trying to get back to sleep. In the morning I felt a bit better, and was fine to go to work. I had bled through another tampon & bad, too.

Now it's been about 4 days and I'm still laying around crying in pain pumping myself full of painkillers. This sucks!

In your non-medical opinions, would this horrific, GIANT blood-clot filled, incredibly painful period be more likely caused by the cyst or the fact that I haven't had a period in 2 years?

Boooooooo!
