It's my general belief that how people deal with boundaries is incredibly important. He may be wonderful the other 99% of the time because he is not being asked to respect boundaries the rest of the time. When you do set up a firm boundary, he disregards it. That's something to pay a lot of attention to, IMO. You shouldn't have to physically enforce your boundaries...if a person loves you, they should WANT you to be comfortable. They should respect you because they choose to, not because you physically force them to by pushing them off of you or whatever.
