ive developed a rash around my anus, slightly itchy, red, but not blotchy. a little bit of skin is starting to peel. it seems to go up the cleft a bit too. i cant afford a doctor right now and im hoping it will just heal itself [unless it last for longer than 3 days], but was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similiar here?
thanks so much.

and also, what is a basal thermometer?

Sorry, I've no helpful information regarding the rash, I would suggest going to a doctor as soon as you can. As for not having money to do so (I know this problem all too well) check your phone book for a local community health center. They are usually quite reasonable and often will work with you in terms of payment: sliding scale rates, payment plans, etc. Another option is to check and see if a local college has a community health center. I've run across a few community colleges that employ students from their health programs in their health centers and offer reduced rates to the community. It's worth a look, get it checked out! Good luck! :)

"and also, what is a basal thermometer?"

This one I can help with. A basal thermometer is a thermometer used to chart your basal body temperature (BBT - your temperature when you first wake up in the morning) in order to find out when you're going to ovulate. This is helpful both if you're trying to get pregnant or if you're trying not to get pregnant. A basal thermometer shows the minute incremental degree changes that a regular one can't. During the two or three days after ovulation, hormonal changes cause a rise in BBT of between 0.5 and 1.6 degrees (up from a normal range of 97.2 to 97.7 degrees before ovulation) which lasts until the next period.

you could try rubbing some vaseline or a bland moisturiser on the rash if its rubbing and annoying you.
