Stacking your packs like this can do that. I'm on Lybrel, the no-period pill, which is basically just constant stacking, and I bled like this for six months. Six months straight. (But now I have no periods at all ever, so it was worth it for me. But I digress...)
From what I've seen here on VP, a lot of folks need to let themselves have a withdrawal bleed before it'll sort itself out, and sometimes it just fixes itself. My non-scientific understanding is that our bodies don't always respond well to the instruction to not have a period, and you get breakthrough bleeding like this instead.
