Today, I was diagnosed with BV. The doc gave me a triamcinolone cream to put on my vulva and the affected areas, to relieve itching, pain, and burning (she also gave me legit meds).
Every time I smear the cream down there, it sort of burns at first. Instinct tells me not to use something that feels wrong, but I do know that a licensed gynecologist said it was safe.
So, Dr LJ, what's the story with my vag? Why is the cream feeling weird- is that from tenderness from the infection itself, or am I doing more damage every time I stop the itching?
