IUD removal

So, I've made an appointment to have my IUD taken out... anyone know what I should expect? Is it better or worse than having it put in?

I found it to be MUCH easier to take out than put in. :-)

Ok so I am probably going to be laughed at for this one. And maybe if I was actually thinking I would know.. But what is IUD.. I'm sure it's something obvious but???
