Due to the "borderline" nature of my case of PCOS (for example: I have multiple ovarian cysts, but all are a few millimeters too small to classify as "typical" PCOS), my doc does not want to put me on Metformin. Personally, I think it's worth a shot - the side effects are often hellish, especially as the dosage increases, but I'm willing to put up with them if I could get some relief on this end. For the time being, however, it's not a possibility.

(My doctor is also my boss, so getting a second opinion is, shall we say, a matter of some delicacy, lol.)
