Stacking on NuvaRing, should I try again?

My first attempt at stacking rings on NuvaRing, was with my first ring I used. I decided I would keep the ring in for four weeks, and immediately place a new one in. But after the third week ended, I started spotting, so decided to fore-go stacking and had a withdrawal bleed.
I'm now on my second ring, and would like to be able to stack rings. I was on Yaz previously, and Loestrin 24 FE before that. I was able to successfully stack with Yaz, but unable to do so with Loestrin because of some pretty intense spotting.
I'm experiencing some effects of NuvaRing that are unpleasant, but are worth the convenience if I could stack rings. If I cannot stack, I'll switch back to Yaz.
The question is - do you think that I should give stacking another try with NuvaRing? I'm not sure if the reason I was unsuccessful the first time was just because my body was still adjusting to the ring, or if it's because there is just less hormones and it just won't happen.
Suggestions, thoughts?
