Hi, first post here. I've looked through the memories and I can't find anything like my problem here, so here goes.
I've just started my period, and I'm bleeding black blood! Like it looks as if someone has got some charcoal and smeared across my pad. A couple of days ago I had some spotting but it was very light and bright red and only visible on toilet paper. This is not the first time that it has happened to me - it happened around nine months ago as well, but after that I had totally normal periods. Should I be concerned? I'm 19 if that makes any difference.
Oh, and I also have another odd complaint. I started my periods when I was 12, and they had always been a bit irregular - I would skip months, and once they had settled down my cycle was about 38 days long. But now I have become incredibly regular. I start, to the dot, 28 days after the beginning of my last period, and they last for five days instead of the 10 that they used to. Could this be because I have moved to a university hall of residence and are synching in with the other girls? Should I be worried about this at al?
