STREP.
i just got a call from my doctor with pap results i had done last week. they said i have a yeast infection (not having any symptoms) and that i have strep. what IS strep? i'm being given some antibiotics and two doses of diflucan. anyone have any info on the infection and how the hell i got it, etc? thanks.

i don't usually take antibiotics and i don't really care what they do, as long as they kill the infection.
i'm just looking for information regarding the infection.

What antibiotics are they using? The drug of choice for strep (group B in the vagina) is penicillin. It's good they gave you diflucan as well, because the antibiotics could have made the yeast infection worse...

It just means that when you have babies and are in labor, you'll be put on antibiotics to keep your baby from getting it.
