YI and tea tree oil

I'm trying to treat what i'm pretty sure is a yeast infection with tea tree oil. i've gotten YIs in the past and what i have now feels more like it than not, and i already have the tea tree and lavander oils in the house. my question is, how long do i actually treat with it? i used tea tree and olive oil on a tampon for a few hours tonight, but is this a multi day treatment? i'm already taken probiotics and cranberry extract as well.

Shaving the inner lips

Hi everyone! I went through the tags and read the shaving entries but didn't read too much about my question.

I'm looking to shave my nether regions. I won't wax because it hurts too much, but I want to get my vulva pretty hair-free. I have hair pretty much every where down there though. I even have hair on the inner lips of my vagina and I'd also like to get rid of that. I plan on trimming the whole area first and then using a nice, new razor and some shaving cream to shave it. But how do I go about getting rid of the hair on my inner lips. It seems to be much more sensitive in that area and I'm afraid I'll cut myself if I even begin to shave there. Has anyone had this problem and successfully shaved that area?

what to do about gas as pms

I posted a few weeks ago about having gas as PMS. Now my question is, is there a way to control or stop it? I've seen things people take for gas but it's usually about digestion. What do you do to at least cope with it?

Bleeding through

At the end of August, I am starting a Certified Nursing Assistant class. I have to wear white pants. Considering I generally bleed through my pants at least once a period, I have no idea what to do.

I'm on bcps for pcos, and those make my period heavier. I can't use tampons or diva cup, I've tried multiple times. And when I wear pads, I wear 2-4 of them, usually the ultra long nighttime super absorbent sort of thing.

My only solution is to wear thick shorts under my scrub pants. Is there anything else I can do to prevent me bleeding through my pants?

Organic Lube: Firefly

Hi All,

I was looking through the tags but didn't see specific recommendations for organic/natural lubes.

Right now we're using regular old KY, but I want to try an organic one with less chemicals and more natural ingredients. Has anyone used Firefly? The ingredient list looks pretty good, and the reviews on their website and other sites are raves.

So, anyone have reviews of Firefly? Good? Long lasting? Did it give you a yeast infection? Any other organic, natural ingredient brands you recommend?

Implatation Bleeding?

Hello everyone :)

I looked through the previous entries but I didn't quite find what I was looking for.

My last period ended around July 9th - 10th (almost three weeks ago), Im not sure exactly when. My boyfriend and I have had, to put it bluntly, a LOT of sex between the 19th and the 26th (we were on vacation, I think hotels must put something in the water :x ) We didn't use protection because while we were not 'aiming' to get pregnant, we decided that should it happen, we were ready and able to handle it, so we'd let 'whatever happens, happen.'

Now, for the past two days, I've noticed slight bleeding. Not enough to even make it to my panties, just pinkish-brown bloody discharge when I wipe after using the bathroom. I've read about implantation bleeding online but it seems so cut and dry, it happens this many days into the cycle or that many days before your next period.

Problem is, I've always had a really uneven period so I've never been able to really 'track' my cycle and to be honest, I always kinda glazed over when trying to learn the exact days of ovulation and menstruation and whatnot. So, to anyone out there who knows the days of a woman's cycle, Im asking: about how far into ovulation was I during my sexual rampage? At what point can I take a pregnancy test? Is it possible that this is implantation bleeding, or just spotting before my period, or even something else (I've had a lot of problems with YI's lately)?

I realize Im not making much sense and maybe my question isn't even coming off the right way, but Im having trouble finding the right way to ask. My biggest question is though, when can I pee on the stick?

Hello all, I have what I suppose is a fairly common question, but it's bothered me for some time.

I feel that I am broken.
I am unable to orgasm during sex, or even while being fingured for that matter.
I've tried many different positions as well and nothing as worked.
Only two people have ever been able to make me come and that was while they were going down on me.

It's not that they aren't doing it right, I mean, it feels okay, I just have never gotten to the point where I feel very much.
My current boyfriend feels like its his fault, I reassured him that its nothing he's done, he is one of the two that have been able to make me orgasm anyway.

Are there any tips to help me...go?
Some people have told me I just need expect myself to come during sex and it'll happen, but so far nothing.
Even during masterbation I can't from fingering and what not.

Hi beautiful and lovely ladies, long time no post!

I glanced through memories and didn't find anything super close to what I'm experiencing, so here it is.

I've recently been blessed with a very well endowed partner, but I've been bleeding after sex!

I'm religious about my hormonal BC and have never had this problem before, but again, have never had a partner so large before. Soooo, it's more like a dark reddish, brownish blood. I originally thought it might be "leftover" period blood, but I skip my periods due to menstrual migraines.

I've also been having some weird "cramping" type action. Not cramps exactly, but a feeling of fullness/discomfort. I recently got out of a long term relationship and have used protection since so I don't think there's any chance of STI action. My insurance wont cover an annual until November. So, here I am, asking you for advice!

nuva-ring fell in the toilet..

last night i took my nuva-ring out before my boyfriend and i had sex and then dropped it in the toilet. i was way too squicked out to put it back in so i just threw it out. i was due to take it out next tuesday but i've been spotting and having menstrual cramps since saturday. when would be the best time to put a new ring in? should i wait to put a new ring in until after i stop bleeding or should i wait a whole month (or less, depending on whether or not this actually is withdrawal bleeding) until my next period comes to put it in on the first day?

irregularities

The last period I had overlapped the months. It started in the last few days of June, and it lasted into July. I have very irregular periods to begin with... should I expect it again around this time. It's already the 30th, so I might consider the pregnancy thought, but I'd rather not. I'm hoping someone else has experienced this "timing" situation... if so, some insight? I keep feeling like it's coming.

Also your thoughts on the pull out method of birth control?

I was so freaked out that I put off going anywhere to get properly sorted for as long as I could. The underwiring on both my other bras broke within a week of each other and so I couldn't put it off any longer and went this morning. This time I went to Marks & Spencer. The lady was very calm, and nice and despite the fact that I had worked myself up in to quite a state of anxiety it actually went rather smoothly and I came out much calmer than I went in and with a properly fitting bra which is so comfy. I'd forgotten how comfy a bra could be ;)

Thank you to everyone who commented reassuring me and encouraging me to get it sorted out despite how upset and freaked out I was.

weird gunk

I am a sexually active, monogamous, 20-something, menstrual cup and nuva ring user. I had my last pap smear around February.

I have had an odd issue recently. Sometimes, when I go pee, there is a brownish mucus gunk that comes out of me. The best way I can describe this is as something like bloody snot, but more brown than blood and not as thick as snot. This started before the last time I had sex, at which point I had my nuva ring in. It also sticks to the ring or the cup. This does not always happen. I have started my period since this happened, and have had the brownish gunk since then - on my cup, for one thing. It washes off easily. I have had no pain associated with this, and I don't think I have a fever. It could be some sort of infection, but I'd expect a fever with an infection.

Any ideas on what this could be?

For those who use condoms, what's your favorite brand and type?

Me and my fiancee always prefer male condoms, and usually choose Durex over most other brands. They tend to be a bit more expensive, but neither of us are fond of Trojans, and we won't go near Lifestyles. As for a specific product, I personally love these new Sensi-thins from Durex. And both of our top favorite is Pleasuremax. We both giggled when we saw the condom shape, but after trying it, we loved it.

Ok so I've been thinking about this for a while, but the condoms post gave me the courage to ask.

I personally take loestrin 24fe. It's pretty expensive without prescription coverage.

I was thinking...would it be totally inappropriate for me to ask my BF to help me pay for it? I mean we've been together for 5 years, and I've just always paid for it without thinking. I make my own money and I can afford it but he is getting some benefit out of it, know what I mean?!? I honestly don't think he realizes how much it costs to keep our relationship baby free.

Instead Cup help

Hi folks,

I've been using Instead Cups for my past three periods. The first couple times went fantastically, and I vowed to never turn back. This cycle, however, I cannot for the life of me get the cup to fill without leaking. It's like the cup stays collapsed and won't fill -- when I pull it out it seems to be equally blood covered on both the "internal" and "external" surfaces. Also, I think there's no seal or something because the blood... it's just gushing out and I'm soaking through liners/pads left and right (really heavy flow here). I'm about to go empty and reinsert in the bathtub for the sixth time today...

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Tips?

How many of you got your IUD through PP?

I really want one, but I thinking it'll be hard to find at my age. When I turn 18 in September, I'm thinking of contacting PP about getting one. Do you think PP would be more lenient than say a normal ol' gyno? I know a lot of doctors don't want to insert one in younger patients. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
