itchy cooter
Hey.
Brief history:
21, virgin (no PIV, oral, fingering, ect), not prone to UTIs or anything..
My vag itches SO MUCH. I'm pretty sure it's not a yeast infection 'cause there's no discharge (thin or otherwise, it's like it's always been) and no smell..
I think it's just little abraisions or something, trying to heal but not getting to? and they're itchy in the meantime.. like from my urethra back to my cooter and a little inside/around that area..
How can I relieve the itching until whatever it is heals? It's not unbearable but it's pretty annoying.
*waves hello to the people on her friends list who are also part of vagpag, who now know TMI about her vagina troubles*

I thought they were abrasions too and stupidly put neosporin on my vulva which definitely made things worse.
If you can, get yourself to a gyno asap and have them test for yeast and whatever else it could be. In the meantime, you can get Monistat cream that has the tube of "external cream" and use the extra tube of cream on your vulva. If it is yeast, your itching will go down really quickly. If not, the external cream has a lower percentage of active ingredients than the vaginal cream, and (as I was told by the nurse I called) will probably not do too much damage to you if you don't have yeast.
Even if the external cream helps, I'd still go see a gyno just in case, but make sure you see them before you start using any vaginal cream so they can diagnose you with yeast. That way, you'll know what it is/what to do next time this happens.

If/when you do consult a health care professional, your GP may be able to take care of this for you, or could probably provide a referral to another health care provider who could.
Feel better soon.

I've had a few yeast infections without discharge/bad smell and just itching though.

If you go to a clinic they can usually do a really quick dip-stick test in your urine to determine if you have an infection.
