I have a urinary tract infection. and oh holy god does it hurt. I went to the doctor and I'm taking a prescription for it. One of the pills turns my pee blue. Magical urine.

Oh, and keep a look-out. If you have the same blue-pee inducing pills I had, they're sulfa based. And that's how I found out I'm allergic to sulfa drugs - I broke out in itchy red dots aaaaalllll over. Had to stop the blue-pee drugs early, while itching, and before the UTI cleared up. Soooo a few days later I was back at the doc for the yellow/orange-pee inducing drugs for another 10 days. An itching-and-burning combo that should never be repeated.

Hope you feel better anyway; nothing hurts worse.

I dunno if this is a once-ever thing or if you are prone to them (like i am), but I just learned yesterday that you can drink a glass of water with 1/2 tsp of baking soda in it to make them go away (early in the onset). Id been warding them off with cranberry for a while now, but this works so much better.
I probably wouldn't do it with your meds, but if you ever start to get one again, the burning is gone in 15 minutes!
