Piercing update!

Hello VP'ers!

You may or may not remember, but a while back I made a post asking for advice about HCH and VCH piercings. Today, I went to Tantrix Body Art and got a VCH!

The receiving tube was more uncomfortable than painful, but the actual piercing part really hurt. But, it was over in a few seconds, there was no bleeding, and now everything feels fine. Krystal (the piercer) was totally professional and did an awesome job of walking me through the whole process and calming my needle anxieties. Having something stuck between my legs all the time, albeit a small something, is going to take some getting used to, though.

And a short question for everyone that I ask on behalf of my S.O.: what are some good "instructional" web pages for men who want to perfect the art of cunnilingus? He's quite eager to try it the first (or second) time we have sex, and he'd appreciate some pointers. I know of the articles on http://www,sexinfo101.com , and wondered if there were any other good ones floating around out on the internet.

Period related question, not sure how to lable it

Hello ladies.
I am asking a question on behalf of my friend who does not have a live journal but does have a question you ladies might be able to answer. The last couple of months she has been leaking a urine like fluid from her vagina while on her period. After she's had a tampon in for about two hours this liquid starts coming out and the tampon doesn't absorb it and it ends up in her underwear. She said sometimes it has a hint of red but smells more like urine. What could be causing this? She took a couple pregnancy tests just to make sure that wasn't the cause for anything and all came out negative.

Vaginal Dryness from a Hot Tub?

Hi VPers!

Three nights ago, i was sitting in a hot tub nude (no bathing suit to create further irritation) and i started to feel a little uncomfortable vaginally after about half an hour, so i got out.

Immediately after i got out, my vagina felt incredibly dry & itchy. This wasn't a localized itch to a certain area, but i felt it all over! After a day of feeling that way, as a precaution, i put some garlic up there to prevent a yeast infection from happening. I've switched out garlic over the next few days & haven't improved. I've been incredibly dry & it doesn't feel like the itch is a yeast infection itch - it is all over, and again, has this dull dry itch, different from a YI.

I'm still going to take YI precautions & obviously not sit in the bath or hot tub, but do you have any recommendations?
I woke up to me rubbing myself in attempt to scratch, and now i'm all swollen & irritated - but dry! ARGH!

I appreciate any help! I was thinking about trying to use my Organix Lube or some olive oil to help with the moisture, but i wasn't sure if it would make it better. I'm supposed to go get a pap next week, so if i'm still feeling bugged i'll get tested for BV/YI/STDs.

P.S. the hot tub thing happens about once a month - i am accustomed to it, but i think my friend had JUST put chemicals in it.

UTI? Or just my bladder being annoying?

I had a UTI about six months ago, and it felt nothing like this! So I'm a little bit confused.

I have no pain on urination and my pee isn't cloudy. I guess I do need to pee a lot more, but last time it felt like my bladder was constantly full, now it feels more like I'm going to leak, if that makes sense. I can sort of feel things in my uretha, it sort of feels like I'm about to start peeing, which is making me constantly afraid I'm going to wet myself! I had my period about a week ago and it normally feels like this to some extent during that time, but it hasn't gone away this time... It's been like this for almost a week, surely if it was a UTI it would have gotten worse by now to the point where it was pretty obvious? I'm so confused!

Skipped Periods and Missed Pill

I couldn't seem to find this in the tags or through search. I'm on Loestrin 24fe and I skipped my last two periods (wedding dress fitting and vacation). I'm on my third week of this pack and I realized I missed yesterday's pill - 15th in the pack (Funny Story - I had a dream that I had missed a pill, then taken it so when I woke up I thought I had taken it, first time I've missed one). I usually take my pills at 8am on the dot, today, when I realized my mistake I took them both. Last night I had sex, not realizing I had skipped a day. I'm almost positive that this is okay, but I don't know how this works with the whole 21 days on 7 days off = a-okay deal, and I just wanted to get feedback while I still have time to do something about it.

Tampon, Pads, or Diva Cup

My periods are heavy the first 2-3 days, and for the other 3-4 days, they are pretty light.

But. OMG. I can't do pads anymore. They rub the inside of my legs, they start to smell, and they never catch all of the blood. And tampons make me cry. Seriously, I put a tampon in, they only thing I can do without being in pain is lying completely still on my back. Also, it seems like when I put a tampon in, my body pushes it out, over a 1-3 hour time period.

There are a lot of people here that recommend Diva Cup, but I have such problems with tampons that I'm kind of afraid. And Diva Cups seem expensive. I know they can last up to 10 years, but what if it really does bother me? Why waste $30 on it?

And I have another questions. I've been different bcps (Alesse, Mircette, Lo-Ovral, and Yaz), and on all of them my period is about 7 days. Can I make my period shorter?

Possible missed pill?

I am taking TriNessa, and last month I think I may have taken my starting pill a day late. I am sexually active, and the pill is my only form of birth control. Should I be worried? I am due to get my period this weekend. I take my pill on time, except for the mix up last month.

depo & endo, part II

Hello, ladies. I posted a while ago asking how depo provera worked out for you lucky gals with endometriosis.

As of now, I'm still undiagnosed. I've been on depo for two ish weeks. The first week I was still on my other BC to cover the 7 day unprotected period and it was wonderful- the spotting/pseudo bleeding was completely gone and I was pain free. Now that those pills are out of my system, I'm cramped up again and bleeding almost like a normal period.

Normal? To be expected until I'm used to the Depo? Something wrong?

I'm honestly so upset that I can't stop hurting and bleeding that I'm really starting to hate my body. I don't know if I'm so sad because the Depo may cause depression (in 2% of users) or I'm just so upset that I can't fix myself and my doctor has yet to do so as well...

Random cramping with IUD

It's been almost three weeks since I've got my uterus jewelry (paragard.) I had cramping for the first week, then nothing, and now I'm cramping again. I'm wondering if it could be because I'm ovulating or what. Any input? I looked in the tags and couldn't find anything...It's sort've unnerving.

Alesse and the endless period

Hi,

I started Alesse last friday (so 8 days ago now), on the first day of my period (about 2 hours after it started). Since then i've taken it at the same time every day, but my period has NO sign of going away. Usually my period lasts about 6 days, but the last 3 are more a trickle then a period. This time, it's steady going, and I'm still getting clots and stuff.

How long should I let it go before I go back to my dr and see what's going on down there?

another random question: I read somewhere about a pee-on-a-stick test that was available to see if you had a yeast infection or a UTI. Is this for real? does anyone have any info about it?

Pad Website?

A friend of mine is suddenly having issues w. the pads shes always used for her period. The problem is shes very specific about what she needs in a pad. I was hoping to find a website along the lines of peeonastick.com but for pads. Does anyone know of a website where you can compare different brands?

Sprained Pee Hole?

haha Sorry for the lack of technical terms...

So I'm really sick with a cold. This morning while I was going pee, I sneezed. Really hard. Now ever time I pee (which is a lot since I'm drinking tons of water to try and get better) it hurts so bad.

I told my boyfriend I sprained my pee hole. He laughed and said you can't sprain your pee hole. Of course I know this. But it hurts!

Could I have seriously injured myself? Maybe I should wait a few days and see how it starts to feel?

Random Bleeding after Substitute EC

I had unprotected sex with a random guy last Saturday (wicked stuupid...I know!) and he pulled out. I know that doesn't mean I'm safe from kids but anywho. I couldn't afford EC. I don't take the pill anymore but I had an extra pack of birth control pills hanging around the house. I took 8 pills in the course of 18 hours. I've never done anything like this before and I was desperate...I know I probably didn't take enough but I figured it was better than nothing. Fastforward to earlier today. I haven't felt any side effects from taking that many pills all week. Today I started to very very lightly bleed old dark blood. It hasn't really progressed into anything else since but I'm still lightly lightly bleeding (like the only time I notice that I'm bleeding is when I wipe after I pee). Is it weird that I'm starting to get some kind of reaction so late from when I took the pills? Is it from the pills itself or could it just be my body acting funny to annoy me? Has anyone else done this before?

Ugh my vag!

I love this community so happy to have found it...I have a few concerns that I was wondering if anyone could relate or shed some light on for me:

1. I use a divacup during my cycle. This cycle I am currently on I have noticed a strong odour coming from a menstrual blood when I take the cup out. I have never noticed anything like that before. It is so strong that even after washing the cup out with hot water and soap a few times, i can still smell it on the cup.
It smells sort of..yeasty..(but i have no other signs of a yeast infection or anything like that )and its really intense. It is noticable when I take the cup out and am just emptying.

Something thats new, is that I am taking a new BC pill. I kinda fucked around with my pills the past two months (started a new type of pill, had ran out and wanted to skip my period so went back to my original pack) Could skipping my period and playing around with different pills, cause this?

I am worried that I have some sort of infection but am quite sanitary and dont seem to have signs of anything else. Has anyone had similar experiences? I did start sleeping with someone this past few weeks and latex condoms iritate the shit out of me.

2.Also any ideas to get the horrible odour out of the silicon in my divacup?

3... and.. Since the discovery of all this action thats going on down there I decided to kinda examine myself to see if anything was feeling differently inside. I usually am not all up in my vagina when I am on my period and I noticed, almost where my g-spot would be (but more, center rather then pressed against the wall) I felt a round mass..like I said, similar to a g spot but it felt positioned differently. Should I see a doctor or are things kinda swollen during our cycles? I had never felt anything like that before.

Side-effects from missing a pill (or two)...

So, I didn't have my usual bag with me for Sunday & Monday (or Monday and Tuesday, I forget) and I forgot to take my pill both nights and when I realized it, I immediately took the two, and the next one that night. I don't think my period should've come yet, but on the phone my doctor said, "you'll probably get some break-through bleeding and if you don't get your period, you'll have to come in for a pregnancy test." Now, I think the chances of my being pregnant are quite slim... The last time I had sex (and we used a condom) was Thursday night, and I forgot my pill on either Sunday or Monday night.

I've been taking my pills in the morning now, and I feel like I usually do before I get my period so should everything be okay? What has happened to anyone else who has had this problem? Thanks!
