Ugh my vag!

I love this community so happy to have found it...I have a few concerns that I was wondering if anyone could relate or shed some light on for me:

1. I use a divacup during my cycle. This cycle I am currently on I have noticed a strong odour coming from a menstrual blood when I take the cup out. I have never noticed anything like that before. It is so strong that even after washing the cup out with hot water and soap a few times, i can still smell it on the cup.
It smells sort of..yeasty..(but i have no other signs of a yeast infection or anything like that )and its really intense. It is noticable when I take the cup out and am just emptying.

Something thats new, is that I am taking a new BC pill. I kinda fucked around with my pills the past two months (started a new type of pill, had ran out and wanted to skip my period so went back to my original pack) Could skipping my period and playing around with different pills, cause this?

I am worried that I have some sort of infection but am quite sanitary and dont seem to have signs of anything else. Has anyone had similar experiences? I did start sleeping with someone this past few weeks and latex condoms iritate the shit out of me.

2.Also any ideas to get the horrible odour out of the silicon in my divacup?

3... and.. Since the discovery of all this action thats going on down there I decided to kinda examine myself to see if anything was feeling differently inside. I usually am not all up in my vagina when I am on my period and I noticed, almost where my g-spot would be (but more, center rather then pressed against the wall) I felt a round mass..like I said, similar to a g spot but it felt positioned differently. Should I see a doctor or are things kinda swollen during our cycles? I had never felt anything like that before.

thanksssss!!!

Holly

I am not a proud Divacup user yet =[

HOWEVER! To answer #2, there was a post back.. let me find it.

It seems most of them recommended letting it soak in vinegar and dry completely.

3. Is it possible you were feeling your cervix? The cervix generally sits a lot lower during bleeding.

This was my first thought too. OP: It kinda feels like the tip of your nose?

Side note: I can't normally feel my own cervix, but every once in a while, I'll go poking around and feel it, and my first reaction is "Holy crap what is that?!" Then I go back in poke it, poke my nose (with the clean hand), and decide, "Yup. Cervix. Thanks for the heart attack."

When I had NuvaRing and had to check it every so often and/or take it out, touching my cervix was so weird, because I otherwise never did! I was like "omg what is this!"

My boyfriend one time was like "...what is that...that bump thing. In your vagina. It's kinda hard, and... weird." I laughed and told him it was my cervix.

Haha gather round for cervix stories!

As soon as I found out what it was, I ran up to my bathroom to check it out, excited that I had had this feature of my vagina that I was previously unaware of because I'm a geek, and was like totally fascinated that I'd never felt it before.

Haha the first time I ever checked my cervix was while I was pregnant. I thought I was in early labor so my friend told me how to check my cervix. I was close to 2cm dialated. I was asking her if I had found it and she was like, "It's the only thing up there!" It kind of freaked me out but at the same timeI felt so empowered because I checked my own cervix instead of having some random doctor do it.

Yeah, when I first ever felt it, I felt a little squicked out! It was strange, haha.

when i want to get odors out of things I use toothpaste, as it has baking soda in it and usually works quite well at killing odors.
