bra size

this may sound like a stupid question, but im rather confused.
the numbers in a bra size is the band and the letter is the cup. so logically thinking, it would seem that the first hook on say a 32b would be the same as the last hook on a 34b. am i missing something here?

I dont get bra sizes either. When I measure myself at the fullest part, I'm like a 30. But when I try bras on I"m between a 32B to a 34B. It never makes sense. I buy bras within those ranges.

what confuses me most is i only wear one brand. sometimes the 32 wont fit but the 34 will, and vice versa. maybe theyre made like jeans. even the same brand are still somewhat different.

I buy different brands b/c one size wont fit me in one brand but another brand will fit. Victoria secrets bras never fits me right
