VCH Piercing
Hello. :) So, I've decided to get a VCH (vertical clit hood) piercing. And I'm wondering what all ya'll knew about it or even if any of you had one or knew of any really good reference sites regarding that specific piercing or what-have-you.
The biggest concern I have is healing time, because my partner and I don't get to see each other except for once every couple of weeks and so we get straight to the sex when we do get to see each other. He says that he wouldn't have (vaginal) sex (so, the plus would I'd still be getting oral and anal, either way) with me until after it's healed, because he doesn't want to risk getting it infected, but how long does it take for it to heal and when can you have sex again after getting it done?

VaginaPagina.com also has some archived posts on body modification (http://www.vaginapagina.com/archives.php#Body%20Modification). Not all of them involve clitoral piercings, but they might be worth looking through.
Happy reading!

The one thing that's bothering me is that my lover and I rarely get to see each other except for every couple of weeks and when we do see each other, obviously, we're having lotsandlotsandlots of sex, and he's worried that if I get it and he comes and visits me then we won't get to play. So, how long after you got yours done did you have sex with your partner?

Just peeing on it is the best method of cleaning it.

Go here they have a ton of first hand accounts

What position do you have to be in to pee on a clit hood piercing? I mean, I'm sure it's entirely possible, but not while like sitting down on the toilet, right?

While I loved the idea of having a VCH, it didn't actually feel all that good. Infact, it would get in the way during masturbation, and sometimes during sex. After 2 years, I took it out. I think I mostly left it in to justify the amount of money I spent on it! haha
Good luck on whatever you chose! :)

There are a lot of bacteria in the mouth. A warm, moist vagina can make a very good place for bacteria to grow. I do know from experience that nipple rings are not supposed to be anywhere near mouths, unwashed hands, or anything at all avoidable, really, until they've healed. By a simple extension of logic, I think the same probably holds true for hood piercings as well. I also know that you don't want to jostle a new piercing around a whole lot.
If you've gotta have oral sex, you should definitely be super cautious. Use a dental dam, or at least make sure he rinses with listerine before hand, doesn't have too much listerine left in his mouth during the oral sex (alcohol and other astringents are bad bad bad for piercings; they cause the skin to tighten, shrinking the hole, and thereby inhibiting draining, which causes irritation, infections, and can, if I remember the words of the master piercer correctly, lead to rejection of the piercing), and of course make sure you wash up very well after.
Also, check out bmezine.com for information on piercings, aftercare, experiences, etc. It's a very informative site.

The other way is when in the shower or whatever, you lean foward completely, it really soaks it.
By peeing on it once a day and just putting sea salt water on it everytime you touch/had sex, etc helps.
I hate condoms too, but you only need to be protected for 2.5-3 weeks. It also depends on how often you clean and how its healing. But if you want sex right away.. condom is your best method.

Always makes me laugh xD

When I got my belly button pierced, having to remember the salt water all of the time got sooo annoying, but, you know, not having an infected belly button was very muth worth it.
*pout* I guess I'll just have to accept condoms then, because I really want it pierced and I really want sex, lol.

Good luck. The pain is barely anything! You'll just have an sharp little pain, but after half an hour it'll numb away. When you sit down, you'll go "ow" cause you forgot you got something naughty pierced. I giggled everytime I sat down, haha.

Yeah, I'm not at all worried about the pain. Just the possible loss of feeling // no secks for awhile.

The feeling may be there, but it might be to numb cause you did just pierce through tissue. For sure it'll be quite sensitive and in some discomfort. But remember it's only temporary. :)
Btw, it doesn't stimulate your clit, I have mine stretched to an 8ga. I believe it may give me just a little bit of stimulation, but not much. A lot of people say "omg, it makes me orgasm so hard, sex so good!". A clit piercing or a triangle does that sorta of job. :P

I loves me my vibrator(s), but the CLING, CLING, CLING!! would definitely make me giggle during use and ruin my concentration.

LOL, if the discomfort actually lasted more than a week or so, I wouldn't even be considering getting it.
I actually orgasm through clit hood stimulation, as compared to through my actual clit, so I don't think that'll be too much of a problem.

I tried any way of masturbating, laying under the tap. ;)

I hope whatever I said helps! :)

I had my hood piercing for 8 years. The only reason I took it out was because I was pregnant and thought it would get in the way. I regret removing it.
Sex felt great and I never lost any sensation at all.

You'd probably be fine for sexual acts that steer clear of the clit and if you clean up afterwards. The place I got mine supplied antibacterial soap (which has since come handy for my mooncup).
I'd say as well if you do get it done be aware that at first you not only feel the pinch when you sit down but also when you cough, sneeze or yawn. Well I did anyway. Very strange.
I'd fully recommend a VCH. I've had no loss of sensation. An adjustment to how I go about things (can use the ball on the ring to stimulate myself).

Getting and healing it was fine - it pinched like any other piercing I've gotten and I was having sex after a week. In terms of losing sensation, I think any "loss" was due to the fact that with the jewelry in I couldn't touch myself the way I liked to (yes, the "clikclikclikclik" of jewelry plus vibrator is amusing as hell). Plus it seemed to be migrating out, and I definitely didn't want that.

It can get in the way with masturbation and sometimes during sex. The biggest problem I have with it is during oral sex; sometimes my husband will suck wrong or something and I'll feel a little annoying pinch.
Getting pierced is pretty easy: the pain of the piercing goes away almost immediately and it heals up quickly and nicely. I recommend using a castille soap to cleanse twice a day after a sea salt soak (note: I don't recommend using bottled saline solution, too many preservatives.) It usually takes about 2 weeks to heal, but can take about a month. If you see your boyfriend in the later stages of healing, you can gently have sex with a condom but I'd stay clear of oral until you're sure you can take it.
My gauge of determining this would be to play with it a little - if it hurts, then don't do it.

Its a great piercing to have as long as you keep it clean and look after it. Unfortunatly i had to take mine out due to going into hospital, but i would def get it done again.

And just to be clear, I'm only talking about the normal bacteria that are always present in everybody's mouth -- infections from human bites can be nasty, and you could get something similar this way, and not in the greatest location.
