Yeast infection?

I had sex for the first time on Saturday night. Saturday, I was very sore. Today, I am still very sore, and it looks like my vagina is falling apart. Seriously. What is coming out of it is not clumpy. It cannot be described as anything but fibrous. It seems like the sides of my vagina are shedding dead tissue, kind of like you would get if you bit the inside of your cheeks. You can't pull it apart either; it is literally like pieces of the inside of my vag are falling out. Besides for the pain of several cuts I obtained, and pain from being stretched out, I am not experiencing any discomfort, and the discharge doesn't smell at all. This is surprising because I normally have a pretty distinctive smell. I am also worried that I could have had a bad reaction to the latex from the condom, perhaps?

I drink craploads of cranberry juice, I peed after I had sex, and I have never had a yeast infection before. Does this sound like it could be one?

No, it doesn't sound like a yeast infection... you'd know if it was yeast. It's itchy, and the discharge is thick and creamy yuck.

She wouldn't necessarily "know if it was yeast", I quite happily had my first (and to my knowledge only) YI without experiencing any symptoms; it was discovered during a routine smeart test and I was surprised to get a phone call from my doctor a day or two later telling me I had a YI and he'd be leaving a prescription for me at reception :)

It doesn't sound like a yeast infection, but it definately sounds odd. It is certainly nothing I've experienced.

In my opinion, you should at least make a call to your doctor and describe your symptoms. If nothing else, s/he can tell you whether you need to go in for a regular appointment.

you sure that the condom didnt break? ie, that it is not bits of a broken condom coming out?

barring that, it could be from your hymen. did you bleed at all?

people can get some funky yeast infections. the fibrous stuff you've described isn't totally unheard of. is it whitish at all? if so, there's a chance that's your culprit, especially since many people get yeast infections after suffering abrasions to their vaginal wall. since you used a condom, it's very doubtful it's an sti. and yes, it could be an allergic reaction to the latex, or a combination allergy/yeast infection. in any case, i recommend seeing a doctor, who will be able to tell you for sure what it is.

see a doctor, that's really the only way to know.
